CHS Capital Announces Sale of SunSource Holdings, Inc.

CHS Capital™ , a private equity investment firm based in Chicago, announced the sale of SunSource Holdings, Inc., a portfolio investment of CHS Private Equity V LP, to Littlejohn & Co., LLC. SunSource, headquartered in Addison, Illinois, is North America’s leading distributor of fluid power products and systems and provides complementary value-added services including the engineering and design of fluid power systems for OEMs, assembly, repair and technical training.

CHS Capital purchased SunSource in April 2006 and worked closely with management to complete three acquisitions, execute organic growth strategies and drive operational efficiencies. These efforts led to a substantial increase in SunSource’s revenues and EBITDA during CHS’ ownership.

“We are proud of the growth achieved at SunSource during some of the most challenging economic times we’ve seen,” said Dave Hawkins, Partner at CHS Capital. “The management team, led by CEO Justin Jacobi, did an excellent job tightly managing the business during a difficult macroeconomic environment and then driving growth as the economic picture improved.”

“We have had an exceptional relationship with CHS over the last five years,” said Justin Jacobi, CEO of SunSource. “Their strategic insights and deep knowledge of the distribution space, as well as their hands-on assistance with add-on acquisitions, contributed greatly to our growth. We look forward to continuing the market success we experienced with CHS.”
