WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems Expands Midwest Operations

WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems, a portfolio company of Chicago-based CHS Capital™, has completed the acquisition of the multifamily assets of Great Lakes Commercial Laundry. Headquartered in El Segundo, California, WASH is a portfolio investment of CHS Private Equity V LP. Great Lakes is the sixth acquisition completed by WASH since CHS Capital’s investment in 2008.

Based in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Great Lakes is a full-service distributor specializing in coin, multi-housing and on-premises laundry for colleges, universities, apartments and businesses throughout the Midwest. The acquisition enhances WASH’s presence in the Midwest, adding considerable density and market share.

“Our long-term objective is to take our best-in-class service and technology platforms coast to coast. The acquisition of Great Lakes’ multifamily assets brings us one step closer to achieving that goal,” said Adam Coffey, President and CEO of WASH.

“It is estimated that over 2.5 million people do their weekly laundry in one of WASH’s laundry rooms,” said Rich Lobo, Partner at CHS Capital. “With the acquisition of Great Lakes and our prior strategic acquisitions, we will continue to expand our operations while still maintaining the highest standards of customer service.”

WASH is a leading provider of laundry facilities management services for apartment properties, condos, college and university residence halls, military bases and other multi-housing locations. Founded in 1947, WASH provides service to more than 45,000 locations throughout the U.S. For additional information, please visit www.washlaundry.com.
