LVI Services Inc. Acquires Mazzocchi Wrecking, Inc.
Chicago – Code Hennessy & Simmons LLC (“CHS”) announced that LVI Services Inc. (“LVI”) acquired Mazzocchi Wrecking, Inc. (“Mazzocchi”), a demolition and wrecking company serving the northeastern United States. LVI is a portfolio investment of CHS Private Equity V LP, a $1.3 billion investment fund formed in 2005.
Headquartered in East Hanover, New Jersey, Mazzocchi is the largest demolition and wrecking company in the New York metropolitan area and the seventh largest in the U.S. Mazzocchi specializes in articulated and “surgical” demolition by using high-reach, heavy-shear equipment on tight sites where a traditional wrecking ball or explosives are prohibited or restricted. Mazzocchi’s work includes the demolition of high rise buildings, industrial structures, bridges and marine projects. Notable projects include the World Trade Center Ground Zero site, Con Edison in Manhattan and Resorts Casino in Atlantic City.
